Ready to choose SSL for your website?
Common questions
Are SSL and TLS the same thing?
TLS is the modern protocol. SSL is the older name still commonly used for certificate products; use supported TLS configurations on the server.
Do I need a paid certificate for HTTPS?
Free domain-validated options exist. Compare operational support, required organization validation, hosting compatibility and purchasing needs before choosing. A paid certificate is not automatically stronger encryption.
Does HTTPS guarantee a higher Google ranking?
No. A certificate is part of a functioning secure website, not a ranking or traffic guarantee. Keep your content useful and your site accessible.
Where should a Bangladesh government office start?
Use the Government Desk for office requirements and formal quotation preparation. The certificate still has to match the website names and required CA validation.
