What happens between payment, validation, certificate issuance and installation.
Digital fulfilment
SSL certificates are supplied electronically. After payment or an agreed quotation deposit permits setup, follow your order’s next action or request setup assistance. This is a digital service; cash on delivery and physical parcel delivery do not apply to an SSL certificate order.
Validation and timing
Issuance depends on the selected certificate authority’s checks, correct information and your ability to complete domain or organisation validation. Payment alone does not guarantee immediate issuance. Any stated estimate must be read with the product’s validation requirements and the agreed order scope.
A CSR contains public-key and certificate-request information. Keep the corresponding private key under your control. Do not upload a private key or hosting password to routine order or support forms.
Issued certificate and installation
When actual issuance is recorded, the certificate and available download instructions appear in the relevant order or account. Issuance and installation are separate stages. Installation assistance applies to the scope agreed for your order and may require actions by you or your hosting provider.
A certificate’s expiry can be earlier than the end of a multi-year subscription. Follow replacement and validation instructions during the term. Review the Renewal & Reissue policy and contact support if the next step is unclear.
