Can a Bangladesh website use free SSL?
Yes. Let's Encrypt offers free Domain Validation certificates globally, including for eligible .bd websites. You must control the requested names and complete the issuer's validation. It does not offer OV, EV, code-signing or email-signing certificates. Your host may charge for installation or management even when the certificate itself has no fee.
Start with your hosting and renewal responsibility
Check whether your hosting package already includes an automated certificate service. Ask who handles failed renewals, DNS changes, installation and expiry alerts. Can a free certificate cover subdomains?
Some free issuers support wildcard certificates. Let's Encrypt requires DNS-01 validation for wildcard issuance. Check control of DNS and the names included before choosing it.
