SSL Certificate Renewal in Bangladesh

Plan the next certificate before the current one expires. Check whether you need a replacement under an active subscription or a new subscription, then arrange validation and installation.

Check the certificate expiry and your subscription

Begin with the certificate currently served by each website, then review the associated order. An active multi-year subscription can still require certificate replacement during the plan. Check the product terms before buying another subscription or requesting a reissue.

Prepare for renewal

01

List the current certificates

Record the public domain names, issuer and certificate expiry. Include any separate CDN, load balancer or origin-server installation so the relevant certificate is identified.
02

Review the order

Check your subscription end date, product and included names. Existing SSLS customers should start with their order record to establish whether a replacement is covered by the active plan.
03

Confirm who can complete the work

Identify the domain or DNS administrator and the person responsible for installation. Leave time for the CA's required checks and an agreed deployment window.

From renewal planning to installation

01

Confirm the required coverage

Review any new domains, removed names or changed business requirements. If a new subscription is needed, compare the current approved product and full plan total; the earlier purchase price may differ.

02

Complete the requested checks

Follow the selected CA's CSR and validation instructions. Domain or organization checks may need to be repeated. Keep the private key secure with the system owner; submit only the requested public information.
03

Replace and verify

Install the newly issued certificate at the agreed endpoints. Check that each site serves the expected names and new expiry, then record the result for the next replacement cycle.

Get the right renewal assistance

01

An existing SSLS order

Sign in to keep your replacement request, validation progress and certificate delivery connected to the original order. Have the order reference available if you contact support.
02

A different supplier or complex setup

Tell us the domain names, current issuer, expiry and hosting platform. We can review the required coverage and service scope without assuming your former provider's plan can be transferred.

03

Understand the service terms

Review how subscriptions, reissues and certificate delivery are handled. Confirm any installation or management assistance separately before relying on it.

Automatic renewal, expiry monitoring and automatic installation are not activated by reading this guide or submitting an enquiry. Agree any managed service explicitly.

Identify the renewal job before requesting a price

For a comparable BDT offer, separate certificate subscription, additional names, initial deployment and later replacement work. Keep the installed certificate expiry and subscription end date as separate records. An issuer’s reissue entitlement does not automatically include a third party’s installation labour.

Your situation What needs checking What to agree
Subscription still activeConfirm the remaining term, reissuance entitlement and current installed expiry. Who completes validation, obtains the replacement and deploys it; installation may be a separate service.
Subscription endingRecheck product suitability, required names and the current full-term quotation. New subscription dates, payment terms, validation preparation and deployment window.
Certificate bought elsewhereConfirm issuer/order access, key custody, hosting permissions and supplier conditions. Whether SSLS is providing installation/support or supplying a new certificate. Do not assume the old subscription can be transferred.
Already expiredIdentify affected endpoints and arrange urgent authorized replacement. A realistic recovery sequence and application checks; do not promise an issuance time before validation.
Several servers or a CDNList edge, origin and application endpoints separately. An owner and verification result for each replacement, not just the first server updated.

Common questions

Does renewal extend the certificate already on my server?

No. Renewal results in a newly issued certificate. The old certificate keeps its expiry date, and the new one must be installed on the relevant system.

Do I need to buy again if my subscription is still active?

Check your order and product terms first. You may need a reissue or replacement within the existing plan rather than another subscription. Confirm the remaining entitlement before placing a new order.

Does a five-year subscription give me one five-year certificate?

No. A subscription term is separate from certificate validity. Replacement, validation and installation may be needed during the plan; use the expiry shown on each issued certificate.

Will I need a new CSR or validation again?

Follow the current instructions for your CA, product and hosting platform. A new CSR or renewed validation may be required. Keep the private key under the authorized administrator's control.

Can I renew a certificate originally bought elsewhere?

You can ask us to review a suitable new subscription and installation scope. Your existing supplier's order, remaining term or settings do not automatically transfer to SSLS.

What if the certificate has already expired?

Contact the responsible administrator promptly and identify the affected websites. Complete the required order or replacement, validation and installation steps. Issuance and recovery depend on those checks; an immediate fix cannot be assumed.

What determines SSL renewal cost?

The product, subscription term, coverage, extra names and agreed support work determine the quote. Ask whether validation assistance, server replacement and tax are included, and distinguish an active-plan reissue from purchasing a new subscription.
