Renewal & Reissue Policy

Updated 15 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-15.1

The difference between a subscription, an issued certificate, a reissue and a renewal.

Subscription and certificate expiry

The commercial subscription period is separate from the actual expiry of an issued certificate. A longer subscription can require replacement certificates and renewed validation during its term. Check both the certificate expiry and the subscription details for your order.

Reissue

Reissue uses the remaining entitlement and the verified rules for the selected product and issuer. It is not automatically a new purchase or an extension of the commercial term. Changes in domain scope, product or certificate authority may require review and additional pricing.

A new CSR or validation may be required. Do not assume an earlier validation can be reused. Report suspected private-key compromise promptly so it can be handled as a security matter rather than an ordinary replacement request.

Renewal

Renewal involves a new commercial order or quotation using the then-current product availability and price, followed by the required validation and issuance. A reminder is not an automatic payment, renewal or guarantee of uninterrupted coverage.

Keep your contact details current and allow time for validation and installation. Contact us if the certificate is near expiry or the renewal requirements are unclear.
