From order to a working HTTPS connection

  1. Choose your plan and complete payment

    Select the subscription and quantity, then complete checkout. For bank transfer, upload the receipt on the payment page. A receipt is reviewed before funds are confirmed; a partial payment leaves the balance due.

  2. Submit your website names and CSR

    You can order first and request setup help after the payment requirements are met. Provide a CSR from your server or ask for guidance. Keep the matching private key on your server; do not send it by email or support ticket.

  3. Complete the required verification

    DV checks control of the requested domain; it does not verify a business’s legal identity. Use the DNS, approved email or website-file method offered for your order. Availability depends on the certificate authority and requested name. Payment confirmation and certificate validation are separate steps.

  4. Install and check your certificate

    After issuance, download the certificate and chain from your account. Install them with the matching private key, verify HTTPS for the covered names and track the actual certificate expiry.

Sectigo issues EssentialSSL. Some supplier listings retain the Comodo EssentialSSL name. EssentialSSL is the product family; Domain Validation checks control of the requested website names.

Does EssentialSSL DV cover www and non-www?

Yes, this selected product includes your main website and its www counterpart. List both names in the setup request and check them on the issued certificate. Other subdomains and different domains are not included.

Is EssentialSSL DV the same product as PositiveSSL?

They are separate named Sectigo product families with similar DV coverage options. Choose using the current product scope, subscription total and service terms. A shared issuer does not mean this order is a PositiveSSL order.
